Woking, Surry, United Kingdom, 23rd Oct 2026 - First Detection Gingerbread Man is a crime thriller by British author Louis A Tandoh. The story opens with a man calling the police to confess to murder and being arrested at the scene. Detective Claire Richardson is assigned to take his statement. The suspect claims two further individuals are being held captive and states he will disclose their location only if officers allow him to tell his full story. During the interview he asserts that he has mastered a technique enabling him to kill without physical contact. When his account is interrupted, he demonstrates the claimed ability by rendering three people unconscious inside the police station without touching them, then escapes. Senior officers seek to contain the incident, placing Richardson and her partner on leave and warning them against public disclosure. Richardson, however, remains focused on the unfinished confession and the two people still missing. The narrative examines questions of justice, evidence, martial arts tradition and the consequences that follow once the existence of such a method becomes known. The novel is the first in a planned series and draws on the author’s background in martial arts instruction. Copyright is held by the author for 2026.
