Title: Nigerian-Born Author and Pastor Stephen Enada Publishes Book Urging Citizens to Take Part in Nigeria’s Renewal

United States, 7th Oct 2026 - Stephen S. Enada, a Nigerian-born author, associate pastor, and advocate, has published The Demons of Nigeria: Conspiracies, Complicities and the Limits of Patriotism, a book that argues Nigeria’s corruption and instability cannot be pinned on its political class alone. The paperback was released July 18, 2026.According to a profile in Forbes, the book examines politicians, the judiciary, the civil service, the media, traditional rulers, religious leaders and ordinary citizens. It contends that dysfunction persists partly because of a culture of silence running through the whole system. Historian Toyin Falola, who wrote the foreword, describes the book as hopeful rather than despairing, pointing toward reform and responsibility. Enada frames it the same way. “Nigeria is still redeemable,” he said.He was born in Kwara State, Nigeria, and moved to the United States for graduate study. He built a real estate portfolio and serves as an associate pastor at a church in Georgia. His wife, Josephine, founded a beauty studio that employs more than 20 people.Enada has made the case for citizen involvement in public as well. “Nigeria can experience dramatic change only if her citizens are determined to engage strategically,” he wrote in a recent public post, a point that echoes the book’s emphasis on civic responsibility.Enada co-founded the International Committee on Nigeria (ICON) in 2017, an organization focused on human rights and religious freedom in Nigeria. His writing has appeared in Newsweek and InsideSources, and he has been interviewed on Christianity Today’s “The Just Life” podcast. The Demons of Nigeria is available in paperback, eBook, and hardcover editions through Amazon and other retailers. For review copies,...
