Here, it feels like being in natural air conditioning,” Chen said.This year, Chen brought his family on a self-driving trip along the “No. 1 Rural Tourism Road in China.”“There are viewing platforms and service stops along the way, so there is no need to rush. Terraced fields and Miao villages are right outside the car window,” he said. “That slow-paced experience is something conventional scenic areas simply cannot offer.”Liu Shanjuan, a visitor from Changsha, Hunan Province, chose to spend several days in villages including Langde and Zaidang.
