Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, 10th Dec 2025 - Southern Ontario now has one of its first mobile in-home hearing clinics with the launch of Hearing Oasis, a hearing care practice founded by Hearing Instrument Specialist Parnian “Pam” Gorjizadeh. Offering both in-home and clinic-based services, Hearing Oasis aims to remove barriers to hearing care for seniors, caregivers, busy families, and individuals with mobility or transportation challenges across the Niagara and Hamilton regions.For Pam, the launch of Hearing Oasis represents the culmination of a lifelong journey shaped by her own lived experience. Born with severe hearing loss, she was diagnosed at three years old and fit with her first pair of hearing aids the same year. Growing up, she experienced firsthand what it meant to struggle to hear the world around her.Her career path became clear during her final year of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University. Despite her hard work, university was incredibly isolating. She could not always hear classmates sitting beside her when they tried to connect. Using a classroom microphone system helped only slightly, and she often felt exhausted from trying to keep up academically and socially. “Those years showed me how deeply hearing loss affects confidence, learning, and belonging,” she explained.A defining moment came much later on, when modern hearing aid technology finally let her hear and fully participate in an online work webinar with a sense of clarity she had never experienced before. “It was surprising,” she said. “It made me realize how much freer life could be, and how quickly technology is moving.”After completing a Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Lambton College, she graduated with distinction from the Hearing Aid Practitioner pr...
