What started as a small local effort has become a consistent movement of civic renewal across the city’s northern districts, including Borgo Vittoria, Barriera di Milano, Borgata Parella, and Le Vallette.Armed with gloves, tongs, and trash bags, the volunteers remove cigarette butts, bottles, cans, and other debris from streets, parks, and green areas. The initiative, coordinated by the civic association Procivicos, (Civil Protection by the Church of Scientology) is driven by a belief that caring for one’s environment is a shared duty.“Every Sunday at nine o’clock, we meet near the old Dora station and then move through different parts of the city,” explained Procivicos president Beppe Tesio. “Our aim is not only to clean but to create awareness.
