Hehe was initiated into guitar lessons, but everything changed once he heard about Van Halen 1. "Once I heard Van Halen, that was it for classical guitar training," Jeff recalls. "By 15, I had the entire Van Halen 1 & 2 albums memorized, including 'Eruption' — which I still use to warm up."During his college days, he played during the rise of the local legends The Nixons. "I used to hang with Zach, their lead singer, and even introduced him to the guitar late one night. He took to it instantly, so I claim I taught him guitar!" Jeff jokes.The Formation of JayMack CarpenterOver the years, Jeff trained his voice and refined his song writing capabilities. He considers his dedication and training paid him in this journey.
