This exception allows eligible travelers from over 190 nations, including Brazil, to journey to New Zealand for various reasons such as tourism, business, and transit. Beginning October 1, 2019, Brazilians are required to have the NZeTA, even though it is not classified as a visa. Those from Brazil wishing to enter New Zealand without a visa must secure a New Zealand eTA in advance. Individuals who adhere to the visa waiver conditions in New Zealand can enter the country without a visa by obtaining an Electronic Travel Authorization. The New Zealand eTA remains valid for two years, allows for multiple entries, and permits stays of up to 90 days for each visit. Additionally, a new prerequisite in New Zealand is the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy NZ (IVL), which certain travelers must pay starting on October 1, 2019. The aim of the requirements for eTA NZ is to strengthen national and cross-border security and to facilitate international travel.
