Norwegian residents must obtain a travel permit before traveling to Canada. Since the Canadian government introduced the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system in 2016, there has been a noticeable improvement in the efficiency of the procedure. Norwegian individuals planning to stay in Canada for up to 180 days can choose to complete the simple eTA application form online.
