In July 2019, the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) introduced the visa waiver program. It allows eligible persons to visit New Zealand for purposes such as tourism, employment, or stopovers without the requirement of obtaining a visa from an embassy in advance. The NZeTA for Brunei is obtainable online, eliminating the need to go through an embassy.
