The Sri Lanka ETA is a document issued by the Sri Lanka Immigration System that permits people of any nationality to travel to Sri Lanka for a brief stay. Many nations mandate that their citizens must secure an ETA prior to traveling to Sri Lanka for tourism or business purposes. The Sri Lanka Immigration Department formally implemented an Electronic Approval Note (ETA) for those intending to make a short social visit to the Republic of Sri Lanka beginning on January 1st, 2012. The Sri Lanka ETA permits visits for tourism or business in the nation for up to 30 days. An individual visiting from a different country may be able to prolong their stay if they plan to stay beyond 30 days.
