The updated curriculum adds guided workflows for using AI tools during common development tasks such as debugging, generating standard project scaffolding, and drafting component patterns. The program states that AI is taught as a support tool within a review-based learning process rather than as a substitute for foundational instruction.

Mentor review remains a central part of the program. Mentors evaluate student submissions and the steps taken to reach a solution, including how AI-generated suggestions were assessed, modified, or rejected during development.

The curriculum references third-party AI coding tools, including Cursor and Claude Code, as examples of tools students may encounter in professional environments. Frontend Future states the specific tools used can vary based on student preference and project requirements.
